This
black but sweet comedy of errors features Steve Zahn as Kresk, a barber down on
his luck. His estranged wife (Lara Flynn Boyle) has eloped with their marriage
counsellor and customers are few and far between. Unfortunately, when one
finally shows up, it’s Avnet (Jeff Goldblum), a thief who’s got his hands on
some valuable coins. When he meets with a nasty accident in Kresk’s salon,
Kresk decides to grab the coins for himself. Bad move, because he’s soon got a
mogul (Tom Wilkinson) and an underage hitman (Elijah Wood) hot on his trail …
not to mention the law, in the shapely form of Sergeant Kolko (Salma Hayek).
